The Pittsburgh Steelers have made their first signings of their 2020 rookie class by signing 3rd round pick, OLB Alex Highsmith and 4th round pick, RB Anthony McFarland Jr.
It is no surprise that the Steelers have started making progress on their rookie deals with the rookies first day to report being July 21st.
Four Steelers rookies remain unsigned, but expect that to change quickly, especially now that more and more progress appears to be being made in terms of safety protocols.
Highsmith's contract is projected to be around $4.5 million with approximately an $850,000 signing bonus.
As for McFarland's contract, it is projected to be around $4 million with just over a $700,000 signing bonus.
