Steelers Still Unsure on Location of Training Camp

With the Pittsburgh Steelers just six weeks out from their Hall of Fame game against the Dallas Cowboys, the NFL still hasn't told them where they'll be conducting training camp. The Steelers applied to return to St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA for their annual training camp, but no word from the league has come down as to if they have been approved.

The Cowboys found out this week that they will be allowed to return to their training facility in Oxnard, California for training camp this season. However, when Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin was asked about the Steelers returning to Latrobe, he was unsure:

"I thought I would know by now," Tomlin said. "We don't always get what we want, as we know. I had hoped to get some clarity prior to now, but I haven't."

With the Steelers set to start training camp in just a few short weeks, it seems a bit unfair the Steelers haven't been able to plan out their schedule yet. However, this should come as no surprise based on how the NFL handled the Steelers schedule during the COVID-19 pandemic last season. What we do know is Tomlin will have his players ready to play against the Buffalo Bills come Week 1 regardless of where they have training camp this summer.
