The dust has settled. The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a new name to their stadium in 2022, Acrisure Stadium, if you haven't already heard. On Monday, the tearing down process began. It not only included removing the "Heinz Field" part, but the two iconic ketchup bottles as well. Star defensive lineman Cam Heyward tweeted out a response, saying the team has "bigger fish to fry."

Still, the ketchup bottle removal a bit of a disappointment, as president Art Rooney II suggested last week that they may stay, even after the name change. Well, that didn't end up happening. Now, whether we like it or not, it's time to get used to Acrisure Stadium and its name. That'll be the name for at least the next 15 years, after the two sides agreed to a lucrative deal. One of Pittsburgh's own, Pat McAfee, discussed what he would've called it.
"I don't know how much money we have or how much money it would have taken, but I feel like I would've been able to scrounge it up and just call that motherf***** 'Yinzer Field,'" he said on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday. To be specific, over $150 million, Mr. McAfee. That's how much the deal between the Steelers and Acrisure is, along with the 15 years. If you're reading this, you likely know what 'yinzer' means. If you somehow don't, well, it's simply the term used for residents of Pittsburgh and its suburbs. As a result, this name is both funny and fitting for Steelers fans. It's even a bit better than the name that Rocky Bleier, former RB in the black and gold, suggested.
The name change came a bit out of nowhere, much to the displeasure of fans. There was so much displeasure that a petition was started amongst fans. Don't get me wrong, it'll take time to get used to, but we may as well accept it. It'll still be called Heinz Field by many, but it's the end of an era.
