The Pittsburgh Steelers have made some adjustments to their practice squad after signing former Ohio State quarterback, J.T. Barrett. The signing was made official once the team announced it on Tuesday morning.
We have signed QB J.T. Barrett and S Tray Matthews to our practice squad.

Barrett was originally signed by New Orleans as a free agent in 2018 and then after he was waived by the Saints, he joined the Seattle Seahawks in August of 2019. His time with Seattle was short-lived after being released before the end of the month.
Just in the past year, Barrett went through 23 transactions from either being released or signed to different practice squads.
During his time with Ohio State, Barrett threw for 9,434 yards and 104 touchdowns, and also recorded 3,263 rushing yards along with 43 touchdowns. He tallied 38 wins as a starting quarterback along with 38 records (school and conference).
Barrett was obviously added to the practice squad to add some depth at quarterback for the Steelers since spots seem to be dwindling. Pittsburgh moves on without Mason Rudolph against Baltimore on Sunday. This means Paxton Lynch moves to the active roster to backup Devlin "Duck" Hodges.
What do you think, Steeler Nation? Do you think Barrett will see some game time / be an asset to the team given recent injuries? Let us know what you think in the comment section below!
