There is a reason the Pittsburgh Steelers have yet to officially announce Matt Canada's promotion to Offensive Coordinator.
And no, it's not because they changed their minds.
Per Gerry Dulac and his sources, Mike Tomlin wants to first hire an offensive line coach.
Delay in naming Matt Canada (or someone) as offensive coordinator is because Mike Tomlin wants to hire an offensive line coach first, per sources. Wants to make sure what O-Line coach wants to do meshes with his OC's philosophy.

This seems like a pretty logical call (and the right one, at that). There was so much dysfunction on the offensive side of the ball that if this team wants to make a serious run at a title any time soon, they're going to have to decide on a unified strategy - and stick to it.
Hopefully this is just one small step in the right direction.
